Discord to gamertag

Discord-to-Gamertag Player Linking

Connect Discord members to DayZ gamertags so support, rewards, warnings, stats, and bans point at the right player.

Player identity

Player Linking stops staff from guessing who a Discord user is in game.

Linked accounts make tickets, economy, stats, moderation, and player-facing commands cleaner.

Link-role settings can also give linked players the right Discord role after their gamertag is tied to their account.

Identity affects every staff decision.

Tickets, bans, rewards, bounties, stats, and linked roles are cleaner when staff can match the Discord user to the in-game gamertag.

Linked identity records

Tickets, bans, stats, bounties, and rewards work better when staff can match a Discord member to the right gamertag.

Players get clearer instructions too: link once, then use the server features connected to that identity.

Commands

  1. Use the player-facing linking instructions shown by your server setup.
  2. Use /settings configure linkrole if linked players should receive a Discord role.
  3. Staff can use /admin force link and /admin force unlink when a link needs correction.
  4. Use Alt Ban tools with linking data when reviewing ban evasion.

Linking rules

  • Put linking instructions somewhere easy to find, such as rules, welcome, or a QR sign.
  • Do not force-link players unless staff are sure which gamertag belongs to the Discord account.
