Bounties

Bounty Tracking for DayZ Servers

Let players place, view, pay, and clear bounties so PVP targets are visible instead of handled through chat noise.

Player targets

Bounty commands give players a reason to hunt a named target.

A bounty creates a public target and reward. Players can check the list, pay a bounty, or chase the player depending on the server rules.

Staff can clean old bounties and keep bounty records aligned with the server economy.

Use it to create fights players choose.

Bounties give rivals a public target and a reason to leave base. They work best when the server already has clear PVP, claim, and payout rules.

Player-driven targets

Owners use bounties to create player-driven action. A bounty gives rivals a reason to leave base and chase a target.

It also connects well with Economy because rewards can matter beyond bragging rights.

Commands

  1. Use /bounty add to place a bounty where allowed.
  2. Use /bounty view so players can see active targets.
  3. Use /bounty pay to handle bounty payment where configured.
  4. Use /bounty clean when staff need to clear old or invalid records.

Bounty rules

  • State your bounty rules clearly: who can place them, what counts as a valid kill, and when staff will remove one.
  • Use Killfeed and Leaderboards beside bounties so results are visible.

Location choices explained

/settings configure locations controls how much map information Legion shows in feed posts. Use it to balance player excitement against base privacy and rule enforcement.

  • On shows location information for that feed when Legion can calculate it.
  • Off hides location information for that feed.
  • Both is for owners who want both readable location text and the linked location style where supported.
  • Near gives players an approximate area instead of exposing the exact spot.
  • No Link keeps location text but removes the clickable map link.
  • Near No Link is the privacy-heavy option: approximate area text without the clickable map link.

For public player channels, Near or Near No Link hides exact positions. For staff-only channels, exact or linked locations give staff the coordinates needed for review.
