Setup commands

Discord Setup Automation

Connect Legion to Discord and Nitrado with token, server assignment, channel setup, permission checks, and activation commands.

Start here

Discord Setup connects the bot, Discord server, and DayZ server.

Token checks, server assignment, channel creation, permissions, and activation decide whether the rest of Legion can post and respond correctly.

Clean setup prevents later feed pages from looking broken because the bot is missing a role, channel, server assignment, or Nitrado connection.

Setup decides whether the rest of Legion works cleanly.

Channels, roles, permissions, Nitrado connection, and server identity need to be correct before feed pages and staff commands can behave predictably.

What correct connection commands prevent

Correct token, role, channel, and permission settings prevent most support issues before feed, staff, and server commands are enabled.

Owners can check the missing Discord permission or Nitrado detail before opening a support ticket.

Commands

  1. Use /setup token when adding or checking the server token details.
  2. Use /setup discord and /setup assign to connect the Discord server and DayZ server.
  3. Use /setup channels to create or prepare the channels Legion needs.
  4. Use /setup activate once the required setup pieces are ready.

Permission checks

  • Run these commands in an admin channel, not in a public player channel.
  • If a feed does not post, check channel assignment and Discord permissions before changing the feature setting.
