Maps, player presence and status

Heatmaps, Pinmap, Players Online and Server Status

Heatmaps turn recent log positions into readable map images, Pinmap gives staff a cleaner view of current player locations, and status feeds show server health and online player counts in Discord.

Map and status views

Kill heatmap

Plots recent PVP death locations so owners can see where fights are happening instead of guessing from individual kill posts.

Damage heatmap

Plots recent hit and damage locations, which helps show where fights started or where shots are being traded without every hit becoming a kill.

Location heatmap

Plots recent player position records to show where the population has been moving during the selected timeframe.

Pinmap

Uses the latest player positions to place numbered pins and player names around the map border, keeping the map readable even when players are close together.

Players Online

Shows online players through text, voice or command output depending on owner settings.

Server Status

Shows server state and Nitrado-backed status information so staff can see whether the server is online, restarting or having problems.

How each map works

View How Legion builds it What it answers
Kills Reads recent PVP kill records and plots the victim death coordinates onto the selected DayZ map. Where are players dying to other players during the chosen timeframe?
Damage Reads recent hit records and plots the coordinates where damage was logged. Where are fights starting, even when nobody dies?
Locations Reads player position records from the log and turns repeated activity into a heat overlay. Where has the population been moving or gathering recently?
Pinmap Uses the latest known position for each player, draws map pins, and moves the labels to the border with lines back to the player positions. Where are players right now or most recently recorded, without names covering the map?
Server Graph Uses Nitrado server data to show server resource/status graph output for the selected timeframe. Was the server healthy during the time players reported issues?

Settings that control maps and status

/heatmaps chooses the view, timeframe from 1 to 12 hours and whether names are shown. Channel assignment controls where automatic or staff-facing map output lands: Heatmap Locations, Heatmap Kills, Heatmap Damages and Location Pinmap each have their own channel target.

/settings playersonline controls text players-online output, voice players-online output, the public command, voice prefix and whether text player lists include location information. Status output is routed through the Status channel assignment.
